Product Description
Vertical PVC Rod Holder Black for inflatable boats 6cm long with a 3.8cm diameter
Reinforced PVC holder for fishing rods, beam and pole like the landing net or boot hook. We designed a universal
rod holder to provide a vertical support that can be pasted anywhere on an inflatable boat.
This is our entry level rod holder and can be literary glued where you want on the boat, providing a complete fishing
station on board. You can mount 2 rod holders on the same axle to have a parasol base. How to set your boat for your
adventure on water is now just a matter of imagination. Additionally through the flexible form and elasticity, you
can use the Rod Holder for pincers or any paraphernalia you could need on board.
Fabricated with PVC Valmex Boat 7318 (the same we use to produce our Bengar inflatable boats) it comes in several colors to match perfectly with the color of your boat to give our customer a perfect finishing to any inflatable dinghy.
Instruction for Glueing
This instruction is created to explain how to attach various equipment to your boat by using our Bengar Montage Kit. The kit includes glue, thinner, duct tape and a brush.
Step 1: Mark and Mask
Hold the equipment you want to attach against the boat and mark the space you will need with a water-based felt marker. Mask this particular space afterwards with the duct tape. Be aware to mask 0,3-0,5 cm more than you actually marked. Clean the marked spaces and and erase the marks.
Step 2: Preparation and Glueing
First of all open the glue with a slotted screwdriver. If the glue is to viscous, please use the enclosed thinner to ensure a perfect consistency. The glue evaporates quickly so you will have to use the thinner a few times, as soon as you realize that the glue is to viscous again. Lay on a first layer of glue on the marked spot on your boat and on the equipment you wish to glue by using the enclosed brush. The best way to do it is by spreading it from in- to the outside so all edges are glue-brushed. Leave it then to dry for about 15 - 20 minutes. The brush should always be kept in the glue or thinner otherwise it will harden. Don't leave the glue or thinner open or uncovered. Close it even during small breaks. Afterwards spread a second layer of glue and remove the duct tape. Lave it to dry for another 5 minutes.
Step 3: Warming and Glueing
Use a hot air gun on the maximum power level to heat up the space where you want to glue on the boat and the equipment for about 30 seconds. Take care of not holding it too long on one spot, otherwise the material could get burned. Our tip: move the hot air gun constantly so it ain’t going to stay longer on one spot than it should. You can also use a hair dryer but you have to pay attention that the spaces you want to glue become warm enough. Be aware of the fact that as soon the booth parts get connected, it will be impossible to reattach it again. After the glueing of the equipment to the boat you should use a little drum or bottle to roll over the glued space to avoid air bubbles and make sure it is connected perfectly.
Step 4: Drying Period
Now you should leave the boat to dry for at least 24 hours so the glue can harden. Leave the glued space smooth and even. If you fold the boat while the drying period it could happen that the equipment hardens in an buckled position.
